I am back in sequin. Riding is so different, the wind is so prevalent. On Friday I hit 38mph on flatground with a 52x15 gearing at the bottom of Z3.
I've been feeling really hit and miss some days I feel great but for the most part it has been terrible. I really wish I felt good and quick, consistently and not dead but at least the season hasn't started.

October 30
I haven't updated this in a while but I have been riding alot and hope to see several solo wins this upcoming year. Since I last posted I have come down with a cold and having been coughing up nasty mucus. Despite that I still went riding on Saturday, and Sunday.
Lets back up a bit.
About a week ago I was riding with Erik churning out a solid 350 watts along lake wash blvr and honestly it wasn't very hard as I kept my HR around 160 (I am 20 so thats not very high).
Saturday - Went for a typical team ride meet earlier with Andrew, a super nice guy on the time. Then we went for a extremely easy ride around S. Lake Wash my HR was down around 120. Came back and had no difficulty.
Sunday - Three Hills ride. We ride at a much faster clip, this is much more comfortable. Finally we get up around a decent pace. I really like hills so I pushed the first 2 hills. On the third one I had a surprise, everyone was gonna go hard. So I am sitting 5th back and were pushing a decent pace up a climb. Some people are definitely hurting. I have no idea we had started and how long the hill was so I attack bringing the pace up to 20mph on the hill dropping a couple of riders. I grind at the front for a couple of minutes then everyone is gone except 3 guys. So I continue and shell off 2 more then crest the hill with this one dude. Next time I'm going over the top by myself. It was super fun to push the hill with some guys, can't wait for this upcoming season!!!

Goal
Since no one reads this. I am going to downright state my goal no matter how crazy. I want to make Cat 2 by the end of summer and go pro within 3 years
Oct 17
Well yesterday I got in 2:45 min on the bike at a fairly up beat pace with 20 min in L4 and the rest of the time in L2 or L3 and picked up a Computer on mercer. I got a Garmin Edge 305. Finally I have a gage on speed however it was a little sketch riding at night on the way back despite the light.

Yurbuds
Despite their ridiculous marketing campaign and the rumors about being total crap, I actually love mine. I picked up the yurbud inspire duro, they WILL NOT FALL OUT. They are great for riding because they dont block out the noise. The sound quality is alright, not great but they are sport earbuds so who really cares. One last thing, they are SWEAT RESISTANT and WATER resistant! Over all i would give them a 4.5/5
RaceBlade fender review
Review on SKS Raceblade Fenders long
Initially it took forever to install however they are not very complicated and seem pretty durable. They are sturdy, light, do not require ZIP TIES!!!!! The only down side is the metal mounting pieces flex really easy. However I expect plenty of miles out of them! I currently have them on a Cannondale CAAD8 and they work great!
Oct 13
Today started out interesting. I blew off xc again and went to the Road, my true passion :-). However as I was riding underneath the Fremont bridge I "Laid it down." and went straight into the sidewalk. Blood and bruised I noticed my bars were slightly tweaked but my new SKS Race Blade long fenders were fine. However, I noticed there was a piece of metal on the ground. I sheered off the cleat to my Speedplay Zero's. I was planning on meeting up for a team ride with the Bike Sale team. But that got postponed temporarily. While I did some one legged spinning to recycled to find new cleats. After alot of waiting and anticipation I finally get in however there are no zero cleats in stock to I go and take a pair of used pedals throw those on and buy some new look cleats for the pedals. 25 Min behind I Hammer my way over and through Lesci eating up groups, trying to catch up. I start along 420 bridge headed along the lake and still nothing. I have glimmers of hope however every time that fades as I conquer and overtake riders. About halfway around I pass a group and loop around, FINALLY at last I find a group. I was on the verge of catching the group ahead as they were only 2 minutes up on me. After aton of L3 work I have finally found someone. I finally start cruising at a pedestrian pace. I finally have some people to talk to on my three hour ride, at last! The ride was great the fenders were awesome, and I had a good time despite the issues and the monster bruises and road rash. Plus its only 9 days till I turn 20!!! You just never know what I'll be able to do in the next two years. U23 here I come
